The Luke Hendon Acoustic Combo

A jazz quartet inspired by Django Reinhardt and Jazz Manouche (aka Gypsy Jazz) but they have their own unique, modern sound. Hendon’s last album has been described as “an homage to Django’s influence accompanied by Luke’s statement of independent creativity.”

Steven Cerra, Jazz Profiles Mark Keresman of The New York City Jazz Record puts it like this, “Hendon’s take on the style is to inject some very modern energy along with judiciously placed non-jazz undertones. That’s the crucial difference between maintaining and enriching a legacy.”  It’s a show not to be missed.
